Intro reformer £40 | intro mat £16
Our reformer studio is based in Honor Oak Park, just off the highstreet.
It is in a light, airy, ground floor building just off of Honor Oak high street and very close to the station. We offer beginner, open level, intermediate and stretch classes.
We have three reformers, so we will really hone into technique and alignment. Cheaper than a private but still not a huge group class! Grip socks are required for Reformer classes, if you do not have your own, you can purchase at the studio for £12.
You will be able to find us at:
8 Sienna Place
Ballina Street
Honor Oak Park
SE23 1AZ
(Access via Ballina or Lessing Street)
For anyone new, we recommend coming via Lessing Street, turn from the highstreet to Lessing, turn right onto the next passageway, you will see gates that say 'Sienna Place', enter through and you will find us on the right.
There is cycle parking on the high street (by Lessing Street)
Free parking is available on Lessing Street and surrounding streets (Ballina Street being the exception). Parking available on the highstreet (one hour max).
No late arrivals past five minutes
Please note our classes are not suitable for pregnant clients past 16weeks with the Pre Natal being the exception.
1:1 Reformer Sessions
Please be aware our matwork and reformer classes are held in different places. The above address is just for our reformer studio.
We are also able to provide private 1:1 sessions with our brilliant teachers, simply email hello@flexpilateslondon.co.uk and for full information and we can find a teacher who will be perfect for you.
The Reformer is a resistance based machine, that was created by Joseph Pilates back in the 1920’s. It has been slightly modified since, however much of it is the same. It is spring based, with five springs that offer different resistance.
This offers more challenge and also more support. We will also be working with weights and jumpboards (which offers an added element of cardio within the class too).
Many of the exercises are considered closed chain movement, which provides a huge amount of feedback and response to the client. Meaning you will be much more aware of where your body is in space, helping you progress and understand movements easier.
This is suitable for everyone, it is also used hugely as a tool for injury rehab.
